Terms, refunds and rental terms

Who we are

RockFall Studio is run by Caio Rocha ("RockFall", "we"). Contact: caio@rockfall.com.br. We work by email only and reply within 1 business day, Monday to Friday. There are no calls or meetings.

The two plans

Buy: US$349 once, paid at checkout. Includes one one-page website from a template for your trade, one consolidated revision round, and publication on your domain after your approval.

Rent: no setup fee and US$39 per month. Includes the same website plus hosting, SSL, uptime monitoring and one small update per month. Checkout saves your card with a 14-day free period; the first charge happens on day 15, then every month on that date.

Timeline

Your preview is due within 5 business days after we receive a complete brief and any access we need. The clock pauses while we wait for something from you. Revisions are usually applied within 2 business days. The site goes live only after you approve it.

Revisions and updates

Buy: one consolidated revision round, requested through the revision form within 14 days of receiving the preview. It covers changes within the original scope (text, photos, colors, order and wording of sections). New pages or features are not included and would be quoted separately.

Rent: one small update per month, up to 5 text changes or 3 photo swaps. Unused updates don't roll over. Larger changes are quoted separately.

Money-back guarantee

Buy: you get a full refund of what you paid if (a) you ask within 14 days of receiving your preview and before you approve it to go live, (b) we miss the 5-business-day preview deadline after a complete brief, or (c) you haven't sent your brief yet and we haven't started work. After you approve the site to go live, the purchase is final.

Rent: your first monthly charge is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of it; the site is then taken offline. Later months are not refunded, including partial months.

To ask for a refund, email us from the address you used at checkout. Refunds go back to the original card through Stripe and normally appear in 5–10 business days. Card processing fees are not returned to us by Stripe; we absorb them, and you get back the full amount you paid.

Cancellation (Rent)

You can cancel anytime yourself in the Stripe billing portal, or by emailing us. There's no contract or minimum term. After cancelling there are no further charges, the site stays online until the end of the period you already paid for, and then it goes offline. We keep a copy for 30 days in case you change your mind, then delete it.

Ownership and buyout

Buy: once paid and delivered, you receive the site files with full rights to use, change and host them anywhere. We keep the right to reuse our general layout templates (never your content or branding) for other clients.

Rent: until a buyout, RockFall owns the site design and code and licenses it to you while your subscription is active. Your business name, logo, photos, text and domain are always yours; we return your content on request. After 12 paid months you may buy the site for US$99: you receive the files with the same rights as the Buy plan, and you can cancel the rent or keep it for hosting and updates.

Domain

Your domain is always registered in your name and paid by you directly to the registrar; it is not included in either plan. We send a step-by-step guide if you need to register one. We only need access to point the domain at your site (or you add the DNS records we send). We never register a domain for you in our name.

Content you provide

You confirm you have the right to use the logo, photos and text you send. We don't copy photos or reviews from Google, Yelp or other sites, and we don't add testimonials you didn't provide. If you have no photos, we use licensed stock images until you send your own.

Concept previews

If we contacted you with a concept preview, it was made from public information, is marked as a concept, and is not indexed by search engines. If you don't sign up, we take it down; you can also ask us to remove it at any time.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Prices are in US dollars.

Liability

We build and host your site with care, but we can't guarantee any number of leads, calls or search rankings. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, the new version applies to new orders and, for Rent, from your next billing date after we email you about it.
